Beer Bread Recipe (Bread Machine)

Yield: 8 servings 1½ pound loaf

Ingredients

1 ⅛ Cups beer (9 oz)
2 Tbsp olive oil
3 ½ C bread flour
¼ C sugar
¾ tsp salt
1¾ tsp fast rising yeast (or 2¼ tsp bread machine yeast)

Instructions
  1. Pour beer into a bowl and let stand at room temperature for a few hours to go flat.
  2. Place all ingredients in the pan according to the order in the manufacturer's directions.
  3. Set crust on dark and program for the Basic cycle; press Start.
  4. When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack.
  5. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.

Ingredients
(Included in mix)
Wheat Flour (Milled Wheat, Malted Barley Flour)
Sugar
Natural Beer Flavor (Maltodextrin, Beer [Malted Barley, Hops, Yeast])
Non-Aluminum Baking Powder (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Monocalcium Phosphate)
Salt

(You Add )
8 Tbsp (½ C) salted butter, melted
12 oz lager beer (or club soda)

  1. Preheat oven to 375°. Treat loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. In medium bowl, add contents of mix pkg. Form well in center of mix, pour beer into well. Mix the liquid into dry mix. Do not over mix.
  3. Pour batter into loaf pan. Pour melted butter over the top. Bake 50 - 60 min. until a clean tooth pick test is achieved.
  4. Remove from oven, cool in pan 15 min. Remove and slice 14 slices.
