This is a story about Montana Morgan who has dreamed of owning her own restaurant. In spite of mourning the loss of her beloved grandfather who recently passed away, her dream came true when he made her the heir to his seaside restaurant, Dockside Galley in Laguna Harbor, a fishing village on the Texas Gulf Coast near the Mexican Border. In spite of inheriting her grandfather's estate, life does not go smoothly for her. She encounters problems almost from the moment she arrives in Laguna Harbor.

The restaurant is not operational when she arrives to take over. Her goal is to fix up the place and make it a destination for diners from the major South Texas cities, sophisticated enough for fine dining and casual enough for folks to come to after a day of fishing. With her skills and degree from the culinary institute, how can she miss?
