When he received an e-mail copy of this picture,
here's what he had to say about it.
"I am glad to see the picture. It was my first car. It is a 1924 Dodge. Dad bought it for me so that I could drive to Chino to work in the Woods theater. He paid $15 for it and paid a mechanic $15 to make it run. Oddly enough it had a 12volt electrical system when all other cars used 6 volts. The starter and generator were one unit and metal belt driven. Top speed was a wild 40 miles per hour with 45 down hill. Thanks."
"Dad bought me the Dodge in the Summer of 1934 (I think) The picture was taken in the backyard of the house in Ontario on the corner of Euclid Ave and H St. Mother rented it for a while when Dad went to Chiropractic College in LA. He graduated June 1935...."
