The Athens Academy
Sometimes this is as good as it gets when you take your pictures out of a bus window.
Our tour guide said this is an academy of arts & science. The Academy buildings are a few of the neo-classical buildings that were spared in the razings of the early 1950s.
Another View of The Athens Academy
In 1997 Athens had a lot of construction projects going. Here the Academy is getting a facelift of some kind. Perhaps they're enlarging the parking area. They're getting ready to host the Olympic Games in 2004. Among other things they are expanding and improving their public transportation system.
