The Ducal Palace
This is the largest civic building in Venice, theater of all the political history of the Republic and location of an artistic collection of the hightest order including numerous paintings of the Venetian school. The geometrical design is in white, grey, and red marble. This is the side adjacent to the Piazzetta or little square. The center opening on the third floor appears to be a doorway opening on to a balcony, do doubt used by the Doge for ceremonial purposes, much like the Palace balcony where the British Royal Family greets their subjects in London.
